OURA RING
The Great Indiana Experiment
Farmers face extreme stress from unpredictable weather, fluctuating markets, long working hours and rural isolation.
To get farmers and their families back into balance, Oura Ring is showing them that they’re as healthy as the rural land around them.
We’ll build a temporary greenhouse in a small Indiana farm town equipped with a high-tech caretaking system that reacts to each resident’s biometrics.
We’ll give each resident an Oura Ring and have them plant a nursery tree which will act as their avatar throughout a yearlong experiment.
When their Oura Ring scores show that they’re making positive changes to their health, the automated system in the greenhouse will provide water and nutrients to their tree.
To help keep accountability and amplify the experience, we’ll place a leaderboard outside of their town hall displaying which residents score the highest over time.
We’ll also have the entire city shutdown each day for 30 minutes, giving the residents time to do something restful together. Everyone’s Oura Ring will light up at the same time to signify the start of the break.
To reflect back the incredible progress they made, we’ll place ads across the town highlighting each resident and their experience in their own words.
Then we’ll show the world what true transformation looks like.

After a year of this successful experiment, we’ll take down the greenhouse and hand over a flourishing orchard to the town, leaving both the land and its residents thriving.
